White Top Investor lessons teach how to make money work for you in stock markets. I am Bryan Kelly using the name White Top to share my decades of investing and business knowledge and experience. White top began after my daughter asked me to teach her about investing. That began White Top Investor.com. Our regular discussions about investing and how the stock markets work turned into written lessons. She suggested sharing them with you! That began the lesson blog.

Bryan Kelly background

A little background about me. Happily married to my wonderful Barb; we have two lovely, smart, strong, independent daughters. Jen and Jill are both building their own lives and careers.

Born in Los Angeles, raised in Edmonton where I lived and worked for years before moving to live and work in Calgary. In another move we landed south of Vancouver on Canada’s southwest coast.

I am Canadian. A lifelong entrepreneur with a passionate belief in capitalism and capital markets. Business turnarounds were my career specialty. I have closed deals in Canada, U.S., Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, the Caribbean and Japan.

Over my career I served as CEO of multiple ventures in an array of industries. Business size ranged from small startups to well established companies. Some with several plants and international sales.

My expertise includes a broad range of skills. I know what it takes to buy, start, finance, run, grow, merge, sell or liquidate business. Being a quick study with years of hands on operating experience equips me well to understand business and investment opportunities as well as the ability to investigate diverse ventures.

Full-time investor

After retiring from active business, my investing side-line became a full-time passion. I have over fifty years of investing experience. That exposed me to both winning and losing investments. My stock market experience includes investing, trading and speculating. I have won and lost.

I know what and how strategies work. I also know the cost of mistakes and strategic failures. Over the years, I played markets through multiple changing times. That allowed me to experience some wonderful investiment wins. But I also have experienced some financial setbacks in the market.

The White Top name

When I began blogging, namesakes and variations that interested me were not available. So I chose White Top after my head of white hair. Over a long career filled with pressure packed projects, I earned each one of those white hairs! At least for the time being, they continue to stay with me!
