A brilliant light inspires us to change

We are deeply indebted to Nelson Mandela whose passing causes us to pause and reflect. The magnificent Mandela changed himself, his people, his nation and our world.

Changing what we know, think and do, does change our lives. You can add to the universal chorus of praise for the amazing Mandela. Let him inspire you to change. Learn, think and then do to affect positive change.

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.”

                       – Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela touched investors and inspired us to influence people with the attitude that we can each change things for the better. For me that means mentoring novice investors. Teaching and mentoring comes from my deep belief that we can each affect positive change. We can make ourselves and others better.

By changing himself, Nelson Mandela taught us that we can change. He changed himself, his people, his nation and our world. By changing, learning and acting we can overcome all barriers including fear

“The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

– Nelson Mandela

Mandela overcame immense barriers and dominant enemies including a most powerful force, fear. Fear can protect and warn us. It can also paralyze and prevent us from protecting ourselves or acting in our best interest. Fear can stop learning or hide answers and opportunities.

We honor Mandela by letting him inspire us to deal with our fear. By changing, by learning and acting we can overcome any possible barrier. Including fear.

Changing, including to overcome fear, begins in our minds and hearts. Nelson Mandela inspires us to choose to be exceptional and be among exceptional people.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

                       – Nelson Mandela

Rest in peace Mandela; our hearts carry the light of your inspiration.
